Monday Night Movie - WE bought a ZOO!

Ben came home from work and we had dinner. Tanner was being super fussy because he was tired. Ben holds him and one second he is awake, the next he is out! Words cant say how much I love these two! They truly bring me such happiness!  I got a redbox for family night "We bought a Zoo". We are watching it right now so I am going to go and enjoy it! Hope you all had a great Monday!

Little Treasures

We are so lucky to be able to spend so much time as a family lately! WE are loving this weather! Tanner Ben and I go outside on our yard with a blanket almost every day! Tonight it was nice enough that we went on a family walk!

Sneezing because it is so bright out side!

His cute sun hat! He looks a little like we are ready for a jungle safari.
Family time in the back yard

Tanner in his swim suit, too bad he doesnt love to swim yet.

I have decided that Wednesdays will be "Little Treasures" blog day. It is a day when I mention something that has happened or something that I treasure! Today I have two. Number one is Tanners laugh. Tanner is such a blessing in our lives and we adore him. Here is a video of him laughing (He has been laughing for a while but I kept forgetting to record it)

Number two thing that is a little treasure is something Ben said the other morning. In the mornings when Ben has to go to work he will get Tanner when he wakes up and bring him to our bed. We then make what we call a Tanner sandwich! (Ben on one side Tanner in the middle and myself on the other side) Tanner loves this he always is so smiley! Looking from me to Ben and back!  Ben and I cherish this time as well. As we were laying there as a family Ben was staring at Tanner and said "He has to know that he is so unbelievably loved" is that not the cutest thing in the whole wide world? It makes my heart melt! Love him and Tanner James!

Back to School!

Here is daddy's biggest fan!
This Fall Ben will be going back to school. Ben is working at Adobe and in order to move up in the business ladder he must get his MBA. He took the GMAT a few months ago and got a 690. That is my smart husband for you! I am so proud! He applied to University of Utah for the Professional MBA
Program. He went for an interview and we just heard back that he got in. (which is a really good thing considering its the only place he applied) He will be going Tuesday and Thursday nights, it is a two year program and he will continue to work while he goes to school. Ben will work from 9-5 and then go straight to school and not get home around 11:00 PM. I tell people that I will be joining a single mom group on Tuesdays and Thursdays when I will not see my husband. I know, I shouldn't complain but I just love him and won't like those days. Needless to say we are so thrilled for this wonderful opportunity! Tanner and I are so lucky to have such a hard working father and husband in our lives. Ben works hard so that I can stay home and play with our cute little Utes fan all day! We are so blessed!

Team Tucker

My dad has recently taken up the hobby of running. I know I think he is crazy as well! A few weeks ago he ran the Antelope Island 50k which is about 32 miles! Can you believe I have lived in Utah almost my whole life and this was the first time I had been to Antelope Island. It was awesome there were huge buffalo just roaming around and the lake smelled like the ocean! I loved it! When my dad ran his marathon last year we all got shirts that said TEAM TUCKER on them. It is now tradition to wear the shirts whenever he runs a race. Neither Tanner nor Kate had shirts because Tucker's last run was before either of them where born. I decided to make "Team Tucker" onesies! I got the iron on letters and blue onesies at Hobby Lobby (man I love that place) They turned out perfect. Our whole family was able to make it out to support our dad. Way to go Dad! We love you!

Tanners Blessing

We talked to our pediatrician about when it would be okay to take Tanner to church. He said that because we had him in December that we should wait until at least March because it was RSV season. We decided we would bless him on March 4th. We did the blessing in church. (some people like to do it in their home) Ben did such a great job. The words that were said were so comforting and we are so happy to have Tanner in our lives. There were so many family members who came to support us! We are so blessed to have such great family near by. Here are some of the photos.

I made these Tie cookies for the blessing they were cute but such a pain without a cookie cutter! Don't look too close!

SO much food!

I didnt think I would have him wear the hat but man I think he is stinking cute!

As most of you know having a baby changes everything! You now have to think of your little one before your self always. I think that is why they come so cute because you just want to take care of them as best as you know how.  I was looking back at these pictures (because I am like 4 months behind on blogging) and I cant believe Tanner fit in our bathroom sink! Man that was such easy bath time! He was so little, where did the time go! Here are some of the pictures we took in the first little while in having Tanner man home.

My favorite Owl outfit! I gave this to Megan Black when she had Dax and now Tanner gets to wear it! One of the many benefits of having awesome boy cousins!

TANNER TIME!

So Ben was dressed in the sterilized scrubs and we were in the O.R. Everything was happening so fast. The have you swallow this super sick concoctions. It is so that if you throw up while you are strapped to the table it wont burn you lungs. Well it made me sick and I instantly started to throw up. Because of my migraines I like to think that I am pro at throwing up. I didn't get any on me or anywhere but in the small container they gave me. (Not really something to be proud of but whatever) So the Doctor asked how I was feeling and asked if I could feel her touching my stomach. I said I could and they gave me a little more of my epidural. To be honest I am not sure how much I could feel I was just wanting more epidural just to be on the safe side. I meant they are cutting me open while Im awake I needed it! Then she asked me again and started to cut. It was so weird to know that behind the shield my insides were showing. That the Doctor was getting my baby out. I was so excited to know that I would be able to see Tanner soon!

When they pulled Tanner out and I heard his cry. . . words can not describe the feeling I had although I will try. During my pregnancy I was so excited for my baby. I had always wanted to be a mother and now this dream of mine would become a reality! I thought I had a connection with Tanner before he was born, feeling him move inside of me. I would talk to him and sing to him in the car and just love him even though he was inside of me. I felt a love for him before I even knew him. When I heard him cry for the first time I loved him even more. I couldn't see him from where I was but I knew he was beautiful and that he was ours. That he was a blessing from god given to Ben and I. He was perfect in every way. I could not wait to see him or hold him in my arms. I looked at Ben and we were both in tears. He could see them cleaning Tanner and he said that he was so beautiful and man is that the truth!

They came and laid Tanner on my chest I cherish that moment. The moment where we were together the three of us! Moments like that is what life is all about! I remember Tanner had some blood coming out of his mouth and I just wiped it on my chest the mother instinct kicking in from the beginning.

Some people say it takes time to bond with a child. In my case, all I have to say it that it was meant to be. We are so happy. Tanner is such a great happy baby boy! With his perfect 10 little fingers and 10 little toes, his cute button nose, Bens eyes, my dimples, he is everything we could ever ask for and more.

Here are some of the pictures of Tanner in the hospital sorry some are from my phone so they are super blurry.  Enjoy!
