Thumbs, Toes, & The Park

Tanner has found his thumb and his toes this week. I love it. Every time I try and change his diaper he immediately grabs his feet! He loves his thumb as well. Ben and I get ready for bed and then we go and sneak into Tanners room and watch him sleep for a minute. It is one of our favorite past times! What is better than watching a baby sleep, oh, I will tell you. Tonight when we went into Tanners room he had his feet in the air and he was sucking on his thumb! It was the cutest thing! I like that he has found his thumb because when he wakes up in the middle of the night he soothes himself back to sleep pretty quickly.

This evening we went out to Ade's (Bens sister) and had pizza, then we went to a park in Saratoga Springs with Ade and her two kids Mia and Zane. It is the coolest park I have ever seen. It has a huge pyramid, teeter totter, swings, and a lot of fun toys. We had a blast! It was the first time Tanner had been on a swing.  He loved the little pushes but  he got scarred when Ben pushed him high. It was cute!  Here are our pictures!

Happy family in the park!

Ade and I having way to much fun!

Love these two more than words!

Mothers day!

I am a little late with this but here are some of the pictures from mothers day.

The morning started out like this, we went to my Grandma Ramona's house because it was her birthday! Yes, it was mothers day and her birthday. Lots of love to her! My Aunt Penny and Uncle Lee live in Montana but they came down for her birthday. It was so great to see them! (we will be going on a road trip to Montana to visit them in August!) There were quite a few awesome people there as well. It was nice to visit with Aunt Gayle, Aunt Mary, Uncle Allen, their kids, my mom, dad, Meg, Josh, and their kids.
My cute Grandma Ramona and her birthday cake

We then went to my Aunt Klissas house for a BBQ with my mothers side of the family. It was nice to see everyone there as well. (There are way to many people to name) I love getting together with family.

After the BBQ we went to my sister-in-law Megan's house. Her husband Adam had made dinner for all of us! It was delicious! He even made a special trip to the Cheesecake Factory to get all the mothers their favorite cheese cake! We had a great time.

I love all the nieces and nephews but i have a special place in my heart for little Dax. We all call him Dax-a-licious. He is so dang cute. Whenever we go there he is hooked to my hip. He has even called me mom when we are there. Sometimes when I am playing with Tanner I swear that he looks like Dax. I think they look like they could be brothers. Although they are not brothers I know they will be great friends in the years to come!

Dax, Tanner, & myself

I love my mother so much she is such a great example to me. All of my brothers and sisters went in on a gift this year for my mom. We bought her a hobo wallet. For those of you who dont know what that is, it is a brand of wallet that Nordstrom sells. We got it in her favorite color LIME GREEN!!! She loves it.

My mom took us girls to celebrate mothers day on Thursday to CPK and get our eyebrows threaded!  It was fun to get out with them.

I love being a mother! It was a great mothers day with lots of time with family. When the day settled down we got home and put our little rugrat to bed. Ben and I ate Dulce de leche Haagen Dazs Carmel ice cream while we watched the season finale of Desperate House Wives! (Yes it is one of my guilty pleasures) Ben spoiled me this year. He bought me a new waxing kit, my new favorite game called bananagram, a bouquet of red tulips, my favorite ice cream, dinner at Wingers, and a card that said so many nice things! I am one lucky mamma to have such a great husband and cute little boy! I love being Tanners mom.

Loved spending time with family!

Little Treasures #2

-BEING A STAY AT HOME MOM-

I am so grateful for the the opportunity to be a stay at home mom. Ever since I was a little girl playing with my dolls I always wanted to be a mom. I am blessed because Ben works so hard so that I get to stay home to be with Tanner. Tanner is not yet sleeping through the night so some mornings I wake up exhausted and I think to myself "it is going to be a long day" but it sure seems like Tanner must sense that because he is such a good boy especially on those days! He is so great! I love everything about that little boy! I ran into a friend the other day and she had not seen Tanner yet and she said "he is so cute he looks exactly like his daddy" I said I know I love it. Then she said " and his daddy looks exactly like our Jr. high principle." LOL I don't necessarily see it but I thought it was funny! Tanner has been getting so big lately. He is rolling around and almost sitting up(with a little help).  He lays on his back and scoots. He looks up and turns sideways and then he scoots towards whatever he is looking at by kicking his feet! He can move around alot now! He is so smiley and happy I just love it. I am lucky that he is such a great baby.  I am worried that the teething and toddler ages will get us because he is so good now. SO being a stay at home mom is my greatest calling and truly is a little treasure! I am blessed to be his mother.

How hard could being a stay at home mom be when you get to be with this little guy!

Sorry for the blurry pictures, but you can still see what a sweetheart we have!
